Best prices will be paid for off-beat and cult authors, vintage genre fiction and literary publishers (Penguin Modern Classics, Picador etc) rather than Dickens and Austen.

We would also like to buy books on creativity and thought, particularly Art, Literary Biographies, Philosophy and Popular Science.

Thanks

There is now a much larger selection of literary fiction and classics, and it is our intention to specialise further with larger sections dedicated to genre fiction. Categories will include mystery and detective titles, westerns, historical, military and naval fiction as well as a larger selection of science fiction and fantasy. We are currently stocking up on these titles until there is a sufficient amount for shelving.

The shop has now been open for two years and sales in the shop have been modest, supported mainly by internet sales. We have decided therefore to try and create a shop which supplies the type of books we personally enjoy and feel are worthwhile. This swing towards fiction is part of a larger change to stock more books on thought and creativity. We shall be devoting shelving to poetry, literary related non-fiction and biographies, as well art, philosophy, essays and other interesting subjects such as popular science.

We are particularly keen to buy any of these subects and donations are still very welcome (and necessary). Please use the contact form if you have any to sell or bring them to the shop (preferably in the afternoon).
